tortis is an independent design collective based in New York City that makes and sells innovative products. We think of the things that are missing from our lives and smartly create them! Our mission is to sell fresh and inspiring products with a continued commitment to protect the things we love and use on a daily basis.
For example our ID Card Holder, the first in a suite of products, launched Spring 2008 with a focus on nyc subway riders and with thousands of units sold in the first couple months, it a was quickly a must-have in New York City.

A Passionate Team
We're a small company (just 4 employees and a rotating collective of independent contributors) that wants to bring useful products to market. Tortis has never received any venture investment and grew solely through the hard work of our staff and the support of customers that called out for friendly fair service and an exciting collection of fresh and new product ideas.
